About Us

History Coreplan International evolved out of the lessons learnt from work pioneered by a group of organizational strategists, and social entrepreneurs primarily based in America and the United Kingdom. Our senior partners recognized, as a result of their activity in Europe, North America, and the African continent primarily, the need for an international organization able to link together, formalize, evidence, and facilitate the growth of approaches tailored to meet the developmental needs of the millions of disadvantaged young people and adults all over the world. Coreplan International's senior partners influence can be seen in the development of Britain's National Drugs Strategy and in innovative approaches to combating gun and gang related violence on the streets of America. Scope As a social entrepeneurial organization, Coreplan International is involved in Services Design of social care, criminal justice, and drug treatment provisioning programs. We are also involved at the Service Implementation and Development level with training, professional support and coaching.

Ethical Position Coreplan International, along with other non Government Organizations, and the majority of governments around the world, recognizes that without a skilled workforce, economic stability cannot be achieved, without which the result is poor health care, education, and poor housing for the majority. Poverty remains one of the main global challenges of our age, and many believe that education and skills development coupled with unrestricted access to world markets for developing countries is critical to bringing about significant and lasting change. Too many of the world's dispossessed and marginalized become the radicalized and criminalized minority in our communities, resulting in a deterioration in the quality of life for us all. In the UK Two-thirds of prisoners are unemployed before they enter custody, 55 percent have severe drugs problems, over 70 percent have no address to go to three weeks before release, and over one third have at least three categories of mental disorder. In South Africa, America, Bulgaria, France, Brazil and Nigeria for example, we see similar patterns of offending, associated cycles of violence, and ethnic polarization created by the poverty and resulting hopelessness. For those countries emerging from protracted periods of social and political instability and persecution, the blocks to social and economic development are even greater. It is in this Global context that Coreplan International delivers its highly effective services with people, communities, organizations and the people who work within them. Put simply, Coreplan's interventions increase the effectiveness of existing initiatives intended to provide people with hard skills (engineering, plumbing etc.) and support them through recovery from the traumatic experiences that often inhibit their development (war, abuse, etc.), and provide people with the tools necessary to plan for the future, work together, and communicate their frustrations and desires in ways that will bring about positive outcomes both for them as individuals and their communities.
